The newspaper Expansión, a reference in economic and legal press in Spain, has highlighted the news of the signing of Álvaro Barro into Ontier in its special edition of legal information published on Tuesdays.
Ontier, says Expansión, has wanted to give an important boost to its banking and financial area with the signing of Álvaro Barro.
A graduate in law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and holding an international MBA from the IE Law School, he was until now a senior associate at Watson Farley & Williams, although he had previously spent more than 20 years at Ramón y Cajal Abogados and at the Unión Fenosa financial management consultancy.
Álvaro Barro specialises in innovative projects and transactions, both with banks and with investment funds and multilateral institutions. Throughout his career he has been involved in multiple corporate finance, project finance, acquisition finance and capital markets transactions, as well as in financial restructuring transactions.
He also has extensive experience in transactions in the energy sector.
