Ontier has advised Spanish PV project developer Iberia Solar on a transaction amounting to more than 93 million euros, consisting of the sale of a portfolio of more than 840 MWp of power to industry giant Lightsource BP.
The portfolio consists of five photovoltaic projects located in Valladolid, Zamora and Guadalajara, which are at an early stage of development. The transaction also includes the execution of a series of service contracts under which Iberia Solar will develop the sold projects until they reach Ready to Build status. The company expects this to occur during the first four months of 2023.
Iberia Solar is a private equity-backed developer that creates, develops and builds photovoltaic power plants on the Iberian Peninsula.
Iberia Solar's portfolio of PV projects across Spain comprises up to 2 GW, with more than 1.5 GW connected to the grid, and the company is working to become one of the largest independent PV developers in Spain.
