Ontier has announced the promotion and appointment of lawyer Víctor Artola as a new partner in the Corporate and M&A area.
With this appointment, the firm continues to strengthen its growth strategy and development plan, consolidating internal professional career plans based on merit and competence, and strengthening global and transversal teams.
This incorporation to the partnership, in the words of the managing partner of Ontier Spain, Cristina Camarero, “makes us especially excited, Víctor has developed his entire career in this office where he joined in 2011 as an intern, and since then his evolution has been outstanding, with great personal involvement, excellent technical training and great customer orientation, something that is fundamental in our organization.”
Víctor Artola has a Law Degree from the University of Oviedo. He completed his law studies at the University of Sheffield (UK), where he oriented his professional career towards the practice of commercial law and international contracting.
He joined the Ontier Oviedo office in 2011 and, subsequently, the Madrid offices in September 2012, having also spent stays in the Ontier Lisbon and Ontier London offices.
Although focused on the Corporate and M&A area, he has worked in Private Equity and Capital Markets operations.
Since joining the firm, he has completed his training at the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics (LSE) and with an MBA at the Instituto de Empresa (IE).
Likewise, in the academic field, he is a professor at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) and, in the field of research, he has completed his Thesis on cross-border mergers at the University of Oviedo obtaining an Honors qualification, he also has various publications and articles in specialized magazines and general newspapers.
This new appointment of partner in Spain is added to two other internal promotions to the partnership announced by the firm last year, specifically those of Lucía González in the Energy area, and Jorge Perujo in Corporate and M&A, to this are added the incorporations throughout 2022 and so far this year, in Spain of Francisco Javier Loriente as partner of Public, Jaime Peiro as partner of Fiscal, José María Fernández Mota as partner of Labor, Natalia Callejo as partner of Real Estate, Daniel Gutiérrez Bernardo in the area of Innovation and Digital Economy, and Mercedes Romero Iglesias as a partner in the area of Litigation and Arbitration. At an international level, we highlight seven new partners in the Mexico City, London and Miami offices that are part of the strong international development and consolidation of teams in the different offices of the firm. Specifically, they have been the lawyers Citlali Pérez and Miguel Ishii in Mexico, Jason E. Rosen, new partner in Miami, and Amy Harvey, Felicity Potter and James Dixon, in the United Kingdom.
