Ontier bolsters its financial and banking practices with the appointment of Gonzalo Navarro Ruiz as head of the Regulatory Financial Area.
This strategic move strengthens the presence of Ontier within the market and provides a more comprehensive service in the financial sector, particularly in advising companies within the Fintech sector, as well as businesses that are listed or aiming to be listed on alternative securities markets.
With more than 12 years of experience in financial regulation, securities markets, and expertise in areas such as Blockchain, Gonzalo Navarro Ruiz joins Ontier Spain as the Director of Regulatory Finance. Most recently, he was the Legal and Compliance Diretor for ‘Portfolio Stock Exchange’ for three years, and was responsible for securing regulatory authorization from the ‘Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores’ for the company. Prior to this, he was a member of more than nine years for the legal department of the BME Group, and manager of infrastructure and regulated securities markets in Spain.
Holding a Doctorate in Law, Summa Cum Laude and a bachelor’s in ADE from the ‘Universidad Complutense de Madrid’, an Executive MBA from IE Business School, and a master’s in Corporte Legal Consultancy from IE Law School, Gonzalo is an active advocate for education, sharing his knowledge as a professor at IE Law School and IE University and contributing to the legal literature, with published articles on Blockchain and securities markets.
