Héctor has more than 18 years of professional experience. He has focused his practice on financial law, including banking, fintech, investment banking, blockchain and digital assets (NFTs). He has also worked in M&A processes, project finance transactions, international trade, and corporate debt restructurings, representing both domestic and international clients in the private and public sectors in structuring and implementing multiple of domestic and cross-border financial transactions in each of such areas. Hector specializes in financial regulatory matters concerning institutions regulated by the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) and the Mexican Central Bank (Banco de México), with a particular focus on the framework conditions and structural issues affecting banks, fintech companies, investment firms, and fund management companies. He regularly advises on matters related to the establishment and organization of new institutions, license applications, internal policies, data privacy, customer contracts and product development, as well as compliance with the data privacy framework conditions.
